Food deserts are defined as urban neighborhoods and rural towns without ready access to fresh, healthy, and affordable food. Instead of supermarkets and grocery stores, these communities may have no food access or are served only by fast food restaurants and convenience stores that offer few healthy, affordable food options. Fish-N-Loaves believes that Techquaponics™ is the solution.
Techquaponics™, designed by our strategic partner AdmIT Technology, is a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) aligned process that is aimed at introducing modern beauty to the urban/rural community it’s deployed in while simultaneously inspiring creativity and providing nutrition-packed, fresh, affordable produce options.
Fish-N-Loaves is currently in the planning phases. However, our non-profit organization is on schedule to launch a fully functional Techquaponics™ Community Garden in Frayser (a community in North Memphis, Tennessee) in Q4 2018.
If you’re interested in deploying a Techquaponics™ Community Garden in your area, please contact us here.
Let’s join together to make a difference.
